The Association exists to pursue four main objectives: -
(a) To monitor rural planning and development in the areas of the upper
valleys of the Rivers, Colne and Stour, and to initiate any action that may be
required.
(b) To assist in protecting the area's rural scenery and amenities, whilst
balancing the demands of agriculture, nature conservation, and the national
economy
(c) To encourage the inhabitants of the area to take an objective interest in
their surroundings, including its flora, fauna, architecture, and history.
(d) To consider the requests for assistance from individual members or member
organisations, and to take action as required.
